those trucks can be alot of fun in the right hands. My wife loved them when we saw them at the auto show but we never ended up getting one. What transmission do they have?

You didn't mention a tune. These 5.3s have a 10.?? AFR in areas. That's a tad on the rich side. And timing is very low too as compared to my Corvette. I run my Corvette leaner with more advance and it has a higher compression ratio.
I have a 2011 5.3 Silverado that's stock. My sons 5.0 Ford crew cab will beat mine easily.

Re: new to the site!
My 2011 has a six speed. Great tranny, with tuning that is! I'm afraid to lose my 5 year warranty for now though. Only Diablo says they do not leave traces of tuning but that is out of the question. If you need a custom tune some of their distributors don't know how to tune so you end up not only paying for the tuner but additional for tunes. And they sell to anybody that buys their product where they can tune or not. Definitely not the tuner to buy for any vehicle.XplicitPerformance wrote:those trucks can be alot of fun in the right hands. I have thought about the warranty that has stalled me a bit from going all crazy with the mods but in my opinion with good maintence from start to a good amount of miles you"ll know wether the motor etc. was put right and also if something does go bad it probably wont happen till after the 5 years of warranty ... As for tuning ive never been a fan of programmers havent looked into them that much i was more to the idea of getting a street tune

Re: new to the site!
if you are worried about warranty I would just pick up another ECM/TCM if applicable. I am not familiar with the colorodo/canyon as far as the ECM controlling the trans or not.
