Does anyone know the difference between Q-16 and C-16. I was told for my car it would run a lot better wit the Q-16, (Bubba at Hopps)! Does anyone here know or know who I can talk too about this?

i think that q16 is oxygen enriched. not sure of the percentage. ...did u ever contact Patrick G. or ed Curtis on a custom camshaft for your car?Hellraiser wrote:Does anyone know the difference between Q-16 and C-16. I just got back in town and been sick for a week so really havent had a chance. I did talk to them just need to take it to them!

Like he stated Q-16 is actually designed to replace C-16. Q16 should be good for a small bump in power. I would definitely have the tune checked out if you decided to go over to Q16. people have picked up 30-40hp on motors making around 1000hp by just the switch.

30-40 hp good I can use all the help I can get! yeah I was going to have the tune looked at if I go to the Q-16! Thanks

q-16 might cause a lean condition if you do not tune your car to it, due to the extra oxygen. i ran c-16 in my nitrous fuel system and kept it on the rich side.

I agree with the above post. Q16 is oxygenated and burns much cleaner and I have seen cars pick up a tenth to a tenth and a half. It will lean out your a/f due to the extra o2. Don't run it hard until you've had a retune or atleast datalogged to see where your at.

+1 on stated... I had to go two jet sizes bigger when I switched to the Q-16... but you will just have to type on the keyboard a little.
