Street call outs at the track??

It has come to my attention that we are receiving negative attention from people due to having a "street" ladder. Now I am going to place this poll up for the members to vote on as this is a site FOR the members. Should we take the "street" ladder races to the track as well? This will be a controlled environment with prepped surfaces and an actual tree to go off of. Please place your votes. The poll will be up for 7 days. The same street rules will apply for the cars. Times DO NOT have to be shown.

I personally think the track wouldn't be a bad idea. However there are some guys who dead hook on the street and have their cars set up for the street. I think it should be at the discretion of the two racing. The track would be a good place for any type of racing however the street can be the equalizer between a faster car and a slower car. I know I can get my TBSS to hook up alot better than most on slicks on the street. I will probably not vote on this poll due to either is okay by me.

should be up to the racers. plus it wouldnt be a street race anymore. so how would it be put in the street class?

IMO there should be a street & track ladder and each be handled in their respected places. Anyone can pay $100 bucks and get inspected in a gutted track car that runs mid to bottom 9's and that to me isn't a "street car". To me a "street car" is something you can jump in and drive to Panama City for spring break and not think twice about it. Just my 2 cents though.

This is exactly the feed back I am looking for. I appreciate you taking the time to give me this. I do know we will not get the approval from everyone in Houston because there are those people who will think negatively about any type of "street racing". However a street car is very easy to determine. I have also contemplated adding an "OPTION" for those who question a car being "street driven". We could add the rule that any competitor can request a 30 mile cruise if it gets that far. What do you think about that?

As for the poll we have 4 votes and ALL are for the street races being ON the street. I think we should keep it that way and if a Street car WANTS to take it to the track just for safety reasons than they should be allowed that as long as BOTH competitors agree.

Yeah I agree it should be up to the racer's discretion but at the same time that's why its called a Street Callout. Some cars hook better on either or the other.

Yea I thought soo. I seen u race in person and then a few Vids from the xp meets... ur quick lmao but not the fastest by far... and I kno ul spank me blah blah but im just saying there's faster.. none the less badass and not many ppl can say they drive a fast lingenfelter
